But it couldn't be those things, because my regular RSS feeds for webpages are still updating? And So, I'm at a loss right now. I checked all of those things and I get the same results in QuoteRSS. My first thing to think was to check my internet connection, or my VPN, or my firewall. I get error "error transfering." I'm using the URL format that I copied from the Youtube subs export as a template when adding new feed into QuiteRSS: I also can't add any new Youtube RSS feeds either. That doesn't fix the problem as you can see here:Īnd a sample of the Properties from one of the imported Youtube feeds: I tried importing my RSS feeds from a fresh XML file via Youtube's subscribtion manager export. There is also a little red X in bottom left corner for all of my Youtube feeds now, labeled with YT at the end as you can see in this image: Actually, now as I make this post I have also noticed that the youtube favicons are now all completely gone. I also noticed that the feed favicon for Youtube is gone and just shows the generic RSS favicon, except for the ones that I was re-arranging earlier in the day, they have somehow kept their favicon. I looked through all the feeds and noticed that I never got any update after April 29. All my other RSS feeds for webpages work though. Then later today I noticed that the videos would not load anymore and that I had to load the link via the right click -> load in external browser function, which brings up the video in my default web browser.īut now I'm seeing that my Youtube feeds aren't updating at all. Then it went downhill from there, like a domino effect.Īt first the videos would load inside QuiteRSS. I was rearranging some feeds into new folders and clicking on some youtube feeds to see what new videos I could watch. Integration with KDE is a big plus for the users of this desktop environment.I loaded up QuiteRSS today after not using it for a while and everything seemed fine at first. Overall, Akregator is not the most powerful or feature-complete feed reader out there (with alternatives like Liferea or RSSOwl), it’s rather simple and very good at what it does. A feed archiving system is also provided. You can also set per-feed update interval as well as new feeds notifications.Īkregator integrates in the system tray, with the default possibility of showing the total number of unread feeds in the tray icon. The Configuration window allows you to modify the font size, change the delay needed to automatically fetch the feeds. You can add, delete or modify feeds and organize them into folders and sub-folders, as well as export and import your feeds to and from an XML file. Widescreen View – with the feeds, the news list and browsing area splitted vertically to take advantage of the screen widthĬombined View – with the feeds to the left and a combined view of the news list and the browsing area Normal View – with the feeds to the left and the news list and browsing area splitted horizontally Akregator is part of the KDE Kontact Suite.Īkregator has an integrated web browser for reading feeds, as well as support for multiple tabs and opening the current article in an external web browser. You have an integrated web browser, tabs, feed fetching interval configuration, feed archiving, system tray notifications and a few other notable features shown below. Without being bloated with a lot of features, Akregator takes a rather simple approach, yet providing all the needed features one would expect from a feed reader. Akregator is the default KDE RSS/Atom feed reader and it does it very well.
